- CRCeleste RuppeltApr 28, 20264.0USPS is considered an essential service, so it is open during government shutdowns. They are running with a skeleton crew, and busy. Lines are long, but the staff is pleasant, if one is pleasant with them. The lobby has post office boxes of all sizes, and is open when the post office itself is not. The parking lot is large and has wheelchair spaces, as well as an outside mail drop box.

Whether it’s one box or a couple of boxes she tosses them on the porch when delivering. When expecting something that is glass we worry it will get broken. No need to be thrown. Just saying.

They NEVER came by my house to get my signature and they did NOT leave any kind of notice. This is just pure laziness. I saw the lady at the next mailbox and asked her about it and she didnt even bring it with her. She said "its signature required so I left it at the post office. I dont do signatures"
