  My girlfriend had an extremely disappointing experience at PostNet. She drove 30 minutes to this location specifically because she called ahead multiple times to confirm that they could help design, print, and laminate custom ID badges. She was told they could do this, so she made the trip expecting professional service. When she arrived, she showed the employee exactly what she needed, provided the logo files, and even sent a mockup image showing the design. Almost 24 hours later she contacted them and they had not looked at her order. They could not open zip file because they supposedly did not have the software to open a zip file containing the files. This was frustrating and felt like an unnecessary excuse for a basic file handling issue. The store manager Cory, explained that they had a large 400 copy printing and stapling job and that her staff was focused on that and unable to get to the other job. Businesses get busy, but the way the situation was handled made her feel like my project was an inconvenience. She was essentially told that she could drive another 30 minutes back to the store so they could print something that she could design, she could cut out, and prepare herself before having them laminate it. The biggest issue was not that they were busy, it was that she was given the impression over the phone that they could complete the service, causing her to spend time, gas, and effort unnecessarily. And loose a day of production! Better communication upfront would have saved everyone time. She expected a professional print service that could provide solutions, not send a customer home to finish the work themselves on false promises.
