I had a frustrating experience at the Mountain View Post Office today. I came in because we had just moved, I had a package delivered to our mailbox, and I needed to pick up our mailbox key. At first, I was told I would have to wait for the mail carrier to return later. After I explained why I was there, the clerk checked again and found that the key was actually ready for pickup. However, I was then told it could only be released to my husband because it was issued in his name. I understand that there may be USPS policies regarding who can receive a mailbox key. My concern was not the policy itself, but the customer service. I felt that my concerns were not listened to, and the interaction felt dismissive. I was trying to explain that I had a package containing essential oils sitting in the mailbox during the Arizona heat, but I didn’t feel that my situation was heard or that the clerk tried to help me understand my options. I hope the post office can improve customer service by listening carefully to customers’ concerns and communicating policies in a more helpful and respectful way.

Any parcel that is too big to fit in the box won't be delivered to my door such was the case this Saturday I requested on line a redelivery for Monday nothing was delivered so I went to the post office and they didn't put it on the truck for redelivery also they stuff parcels into the box that don't fit and I have to destroy thepackage in order to pry it out, I have filled complaints numerous times and nothing changes, LAZY LAZY LAZY !!!

This place never updates their schedule to notify when the office is closed, wasting everyone’s time and gas. ZERO stars if it were possible.

I went to the post office today to pick up a package containing medication that had been delivered but not placed in my P.O. box. I approached the older lady at the counter to see if they could locate it, as I needed it sooner rather than later. She informed me—what I felt was with an attitude—that they have hundreds of packages only sorted at 2 a.m. and that there was nothing she could do. This isn’t the first time I’ve felt this same attitude from her when I’ve asked for help tracking down packages, even beyond the 24-hour mark in the past. Poor customer service.
