Briefly skimming through the reviews…. “surly“, condescending”, remarks suggesting employees hate their jobs and treat you like you don’t have a brain in your head,….the exact attitude I encountered. Asked for help submitting a fax. Immediately got a snide remark about how all the machines do the same thing that undoubtedly implied how blatantly obvious that should be to me. Employee proceeds to “walk me through the process” clearly agitated by the fact that I don’t have experience with faxing. Condescends me every step of the way, continuously jabbing her finger at the machine and commanding me to look at it, and to do what it says- impatience written all over her face and her demeanor. Slight confusion as to whether the document was to be inserted lengthwise or crosswise. Employee is huffing, puffing, tapping her foot, scoffing, rolling her eyes at me. I asked her not to patronize me and just let my son finish handling it. Once we left, and I got my kid’s perspective on the matter, I became more upset and decided to let “management” know that I didn’t appreciate the way I had been treated. Talk about one awkward encounter! I’d have to say the manager herself needs to be retrained on how to appropriately handle complaints with professionalism. Acted like she couldn’t care less and treated me as though I had zero justification for being upset. Suggested that I wanted her to scold the employee in right in front of me, which I had not even REMOTELY indicated. That in itself was about as uncomfortable as it gets. Whoever does the hiring over there, including those who hire “managers” needs to ensure that these people are well-versed in customer service and what it entails. If these people aren’t there to be helpful without treating people like they are a burden who lack intelligence, they need to get them out of there! Lazy, burnt out, whatever it is, there are plenty of people who need jobs that are willing to treat customers with respect!
