  I just sold my house, this was the title company used. They were highly professional, fast in their responses, and were very quick with the paperwork. No problems at all.

  Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with this company...10/2020 we opened escrow with the location on Tempe AZ and the Escrow officer was Michele. We thought we'd have a simple clean transaction for a private sale purchase on a home that went through probate. However, It seemed as if this was not a transaction they wanted to deal with. The seller had all the legal documents showing he had authority to sell the home that had gone through probate but they still asked for more document's that were not necessary. Michele seemed offensive when I asked questions as to the process and also pushed to get a close so we wouldn't have to extend the lock in our loan rate. Due to lack of their interest and activity in my escrow we ended up paying to extend our interest to lock twice. Over $2500 each time. The seller even got his attorney involved to see how he can help get close of escrow.. No success. I realized my mortgage loan officer had to look up the HOA info for the property for them because they couldn't google the information themselves. The work seemed to be too much for them or just didn't care. However I found another title company while I left escrow open with them and to my surprise Pioneer Title co. Got me a close date in less them 2 weeks with the exact documents I gave to First American Title! They didn't send multiple emails asking for nonsense. They actually called and communicated with me. First American Title clearly did not want my business, they were a waste of my time and money. Didn't reach out to me once while I had already moved on they just let my file sit. Maybe there was lack of care due to the private sale I really can't speculate on the bizarre lack of professionalism and communications with this transaction. I just know that Michele clearly was not bothered that we took our business elsewhere. Apparently her company doesn't need to do business with individuals that expect them to go the extra mile and just do their job. It took the new title company 2 weeks to do what First American title still couldn't do in 2 months. We finally closed mid December..3 months after initiating business with First American Title! I contemplated writing this feedback and didn't provide even more details. Ill just leave it at, kbe careful, make your title company work for you and not the other way around. Huge disappointment for me.
