I understand that this is the only store in the area, and I know that must put a lot of stress on the management. But I was in there on Monday to ship a package, and the supervisor (I didn't catch her name, but she was blonde) started telling off an employee in front of the entire store that was filled with people waiting in line. Supposedly he hadn't cleaned off the counter to her liking. Bear in mind, the store was packed with people. He wouldn't have had time to clean off the packages from the counter because he was the ONLY ONE running a register. And I found it weird that she decided to yell at him in front of everyone instead of just helping him? Or telling the man who was standing around in the back to help? She was angry and frustrated, almost throwing baskets and boxes around until she finally just told the employee to move and that she would ring me up. It was really off putting and so unprofessional. I've been a store manager. And part of being a manager is knowing when to correct someone, and that time is not when the store is full of people (or in front of customers at all, in my opinion). It embarrasses your employees for no reason. I felt so bad for him.

Five star service indeed! We had multiple package needs including returns and with a sense of urgency; each customer service rep including the manager helped facilitate our needs with value, saving money from previous quoted estimates. I recommend using The UPS Store in Florence for all your shipping and other needs. Very friendly and helpful crew here. Thank You!

Subject: Formal Complaint: Service Transparency and Pricing Concerns – UPS Store Florence, AL Store # 6145, Employ # 299443 To the Management Team, I am writing to formally document my dissatisfaction with the service and pricing transparency at your Florence, Alabama location during a recent visit. I attempted to process a return using a pre-paid label provided by a vendor. My experience was defined by several points of concern that ultimately led me to take my business elsewhere: • Undisclosed Service Fees: I was informed of a $3.00 service fee simply to scan a QR code and print a pre-paid label. As this was a "free return" shipment, this surcharge was unexpected and poorly disclosed. • Excessive Packaging Charges: While I agreed to a $7.94 box charge, I was then quoted an additional packaging fee of over $19.00. • Lack of Transparency: Most concerningly, when I asked to witness the packaging of my items—which are valued at several thousand dollars—the employee refused, stating it had to be done in the back of the store. As the only customer in the store at the time, I found the refusal to provide a secure, transparent transaction for high-value goods unacceptable. Because I lost confidence in the integrity of the process at this location, I have since scheduled a free UPS pickup from my place of employment. It is disappointing that the store’s rigid policies and "hidden" fees resulted in a lost sale and an unnecessary logistical hurdle for UPS. When i got to my work place i used packing that ups supplies us with ( express mail padded package)and a label holder/insert that ups supplies all at no charge to our business. By the time ups drives to my location it will cost ups more than me i promise you. I suggest a review of this location's fee disclosures and a reconsideration of your policy regarding customer-witnessed packaging for high-value shipments. I look forward to your response regarding how these issues will be addressed. Sincerely, Brad Reed
