  Zero stars if possible. Elba, AL post office (36323) is failing at basic mail service. First issue: I filed a change of address weeks ago for my father who recently passed away, received confirmation it was verified and successful, and got only one piece of mail before everything stopped. Today, my mother found a large stack of important mail—including time-sensitive estate documents—sitting at the old address. Once a change of address is confirmed, forwarding should work. It did not. Second issue regarding a cancellation of delivery: My package tracking shows it arrived at this office at 6:46 AM on Sept 2, 2026, was “Intercepted” three separate times that morning (8:08, 8:12, and 8:38 AM), and only then was DELIVERED! Multiple intercepts at the same facility before final delivery is not normal or acceptable. Dealing with the loss of my father is more than enough to handle on my plate and to add issues like this only makes things much more difficult than they need to be, causing problems with very important documents that I need on time. This office cannot be trusted with important mail or packages. The 2.2 Google rating is accurate, and probably will be lower, as it should, after my submission. Beware of this post office and double check everything.

  I have worked with four other Post Offices running a business and Elba is one of the best. They make my job easy and I am glad it is the post office I get to use

  Not sure what the gentleman's name is that was there today during lunch hour, but he was extremely rude. I had to pick-up a package that I needed to sign for. When I told him this, instead of politely asking me what my name was, he shrugs his shoulders and says, "uh, name?" Like I'm terribly inconveniencing him or something. This man is probably tenured here and nothing will ever be done about his attitude, but this is unacceptable!

  If i could give 0 stars i would. They lose packages or put them in other mail boxes. Managment is horrible and they all have the "im never wrong" mentality.

  We have been moved here for all of 6 months, for some reason our mailbox was on the side street and if mail was too big for the mailbox was just placed on the side steps rain or shine not to mention I've noticed a guy riding an orange bike waiting with a box cutter and black duffel bag. This weekend we moved our mailbox to the correct street and added security cameras...a lockable mailbox at that and removed our old mailbox since we have had stuff stolen and our mail was still left out today on the side steps in the open even though we clearly have a new mailbox on the correct street and a big front porch out of sight and out of the weather. At this point I feel it is correct to assume that y'all are incompetent, lazy and in cahoots with the theif.
