  I came into this post office with a letter that needed to be delivered to a PO Box in Birmingham as quickly as possible. I knew the physical location of the office, so I came to what I believed was the nearest post office to ask for help. The employee never greeted me. I handed her the letter while I was in the middle of asking a question, and before I could even finish, she snatched it and tossed it into the outgoing mail bin. My question was simple: Was this the post office that services that particular PO Box, or was it just the closest post office to that location? I explained that I needed to make sure the letter was received as quickly as possible. Her response was, “I have no idea.” When I asked if there was any way to look it up, she dismissed me by saying, “Either way, it’s still gotta go through the process.” The complete lack of professionalism and willingness to help was shocking. She was rude, dismissive, and acted like my question was an inconvenience. I ended up asking for my letter back because I had no confidence it was being handled correctly after the way she treated me. Customer service costs nothing. A simple greeting, listening to a customer’s question before grabbing their mail, and making even a small effort to help would have made all the difference. Unfortunately, none of that happened here.

  I see now why Birmingham has such a low review rate! Almost every time I have a package go through Birmingham it either gets lost or it gets rerouted to freaking Maine!! You guys need to get it together!!

  The service here is generally good. I’ve had a few experiences with rude workers they aren’t always welcoming or polite but they do provide the services I need. I’m able to pay my rent using money orders, purchase stamps, send off mail. and I’ve also been able to get passport applications for myself and my family, which is very convenient.

  Always something with these people. They find every excuse in a book not to do their jobs. Also don't purchase postage there, better to do it yourself online.. GROUND SHIPPING 2oz- 4oz online is less than $5 in store $7+(ECONOMY ENVELOPE) would of taken me abt $2 in stamps... And the lady tried to convince me otherwise. I ship a lot usually through mt brook location. What a mistake coming here in the last month. Lines always backed up bc they move soooooooooo slowwwwwww. I felt scammed after I left the post office. Never again. Will print my own stuff and take it to mt brook. This location employees needs some new training.
