The worst post office I’ve ever been to. Not just once, but every single time. Slow, disorganized, massive lines with a single employee, and their mail carriers screw up and lose mail constantly.

Every time I come to this post office to drop a package off, there is a line with 8+ people in it. There’s only ever one person helping at the desk and there is always something wrong so it takes an hour to get through the line. It’s ridiculous and I dont necessarily blame the workers because they are doing everything they can but, this post office definitely needs some assistance from someone above the current management. This last time I went all of there terminals were down and he was on the phone with the post office support. I left after waiting 45 minutes with nothing being resolved, and I know that because the phone was on speaker and we could all hear it.

Of all the places I've lived over the years, this has got to be the ultimate worst post office I've ever dealt with. Our mail gets misdelivered frequently, gets marked delivered when it is not, and you can never get a hold of anyone when you call. If you go in to ask a question, mail something, or pick something up, you'll be waiting an eternity. I work in Athens and went on my hour lunch break to mail my mom's Mother's Day gift a couple months ago. I wasted my entire lunch waiting, never got to mail my package, and didn't have time to eat either. I ended up going to the Ardmore post office the next day and was in and out within a few minutes. I wish our mail came out of Ardmore. I've always had good luck with that post office. Harvest is pretty good as well. But I try to avoid the Athens one if at all possible. I tried calling the local number today to ask a question 3 times with no answer. I dread having to go up there. We have lived at this address for over 5 years and have never had good service, but lately, and as time goes on, it gets worse and worse. This place needs a complete overhaul. How are surrounding post offices run so well and this location so terrible, and for this long? Something needs to be done. The Athens community deserves better service.

This is the worst Post Office ever. They do not care about the customers. I have had countless issues with this location. These past 2 weeks, I have had packages say they are out for delivery and do not show up for days. Called and all it does is ring, and when they do finally pick up the they lie. I called and spoke to Ryan about my issue, and he said he would call me back within 15 minutes. That was on July 1st, still waiting, so after 4 hrs I called again and this time I spoke with a young lady, and she was very rude when I tried to explain things to her, she would not allow me to speak, and when I did she gave me excuse after excuse on why my package that was to be delivered on June 28th still had not be delivered. Fast forward to July 2, some of my packages arrived, but they were all wet and opened, and one of the packages had fallen apart, and the product was wet. The paper mail was also wet, so this tells me that it was sitting outside yesterday in the storm. I will be calling the post Master General in DC about these issues.
