Most of the time I've gotten professional service. Even the customers are helpful because that's how friendly VanAlstyne is.
But last year a package I mailed to Minnesota disappeared.
I guess I was supposed to know the package was automatically insured for $100.00 but I did not. Wish I could have claimed my expenses for the loss.

Awful experience. I travel the metroplex for work. I had some packages ready to go and thought, USPS is USPS, shouldn’t matter where I drop my packages off at. WRONG! Paid extra for faster delivery, suppose to be delivered Saturday. Didn’t get delivered till Monday, not the end of the world that they’re late, but the address was input wrong on one of my packages. So it was delivered to the wrong address. Had it been delivered on time the recipient could have gone to the mail room and worked out the error, but being late he’s out of town. After I told the lady there that both packages were going to the same address. My post office allows me to check the address on the keypad screen BEFORE they print the label, this lady skipped right past it. The worst experience shipping anything in my life.

Closed on June 19th, website says their open checked to make sure. Walked all the way there just for them to be closed.
If you’re gonna close for a newly installed federal holiday it needs to be posted to your website because I wasn’t the only one there trying to pick stuff up and couldn’t due to the website missing info.

I cannot describe how pleasant my experience was with the Van Alstyne Post Office today.
A package was listed as delivered. When I checked, the package wasn’t there. I called over to the Post Office and spoke with the Post Master.
Long story short: he asked that I give it another hour or so and if the package hasn’t arrived to call him back.
I did get the package about 45 minutes later. Didn’t want to call to the Post office again since I was sure they were crazy busy.
In an act that I don’t see anymore, the Post Master called me back to confirm I received the package. Love the follow through
