I know this is a common theme among post offices these days but the Taylor Post Office is going out of their way to lower the bar. Passport Services My wife went in today with everything prepared exactly as requested. It was organized, labeled, etc. It was already put together by a service, met all of the Post Office requirements, yada yada yada. After waiting for a good while, the staff decided to restructure the line in a way that people behind my wife were seen first, further delaying the process. When she was eventually seen, the young woman at the counter reviewed her documents for 2-3 minutes, commented that everything was perfect, it was really well put together and nicely organized... then she decided she wanted to see the itinerary for the upcoming international trip. She said just seeing it on a phone wasn't enough and suggested going to the library to print it. So my wife left, took a work call, found somewhere to print the itinerary and returned within an hour. Remember, this lady said she'd approve it when she returned as long as she brought the itinerary. My wife returns, she waits in a long line, the woman recognizes her and immediately says "you took too long" and denies her service. There were two other customers in the lobby and she said they were just too busy, she would have to re-review the whole packet (took her 2-3 minutes previously) and she didn't want to because now it was outside of the passport services hours. She had already reviewed everything - she just wanted the printed itinerary in the packet. Nope. I'm not one to leave negative reviews but this post office is going above and beyond to earn them. When she loses her job to automation, it will absolutely be a net positive. People going out of their way to say no to customers are the worst - this postal employee was awful because she wanted to be, not because she didn't know better.

The actual post office was closed on multiple occasions when they should have been opened(during business hours and non holiday). If you call, you can’t speak to anyone. Oh, and the number for tracking my package was an ‘invalid’ number on their website and through the automated phone system which I put in multiple times and verified the number. It wasn’t until I finally spoke with someone after sitting on the phone for 19 minutes, that he explained that even though the paper said my package was to be returned to sender in two days they “went ahead and returned it for me”. So now I will have to repay for shipping and that’s “not their fault”.
