- JCJoannah CookMay 12, 20221.0This post office is useless! I don’t understand why they even have an office. Office is open for like 2 or 3 hrs a day~They don’t have a printer-so they cannot scan a QR code and place a label on your package. So what’s the point? Should just be PO Boxes and a drop box~that’s all this location is good for IMO. And~they sent a priority flat rate envelope back to my mailbox with a post it note that read “you cannot alter or change the shape of a flat rate envelope in any way.” Totally False-Wrong! I had placed an item inside the envelope and then folded it over making it smaller so the contents would not be sliding around inside the package. I made it smaller…a legitimate USPS office informed me that as long as the flap is able to close and you don’t take the side seams out in an attempt to accommodate an item too large for the package…you are fine to alter the shape after the flap is secure. Ie: flat rate=“If it fits it ships”. (But not from Sidney TX USPS-package police). Honestly, my time, gas and energy were waisted. Plus my package was delayed by 3 days for no reason…except for ignorance. Avoid this location if you able-make the 7mile trip to town to ensure you don’t have unnecessary set backs when shipping anything. No printer-No knowledge-No help at all. Thanks for nothing…my rant is over.
