The supervisor and carriers of this USPS location are hands down great. I had a missing package and the supervisor went above and beyond to try to help me get it. The carriers followed through to the end of their day during their route and I was able to get it back the same day. Thank you so much!!

I had a passport appointment on Tuesday, and I was assisted by Julia Campos. I feel compelled to write this review because what I experienced was not just frustrating — it was unacceptable for someone in her position. To begin with, Julia Campos demonstrated a complete lack of understanding of the laws she is supposed to enforce, particularly the Child Citizenship Act of 2000. It was immediately clear that she did not comprehend how the law applies to certain citizenship cases, nor was she open to clarification or discussion. This is deeply concerning, as her role involves handling sensitive legal documentation that directly impacts people’s citizenship rights and travel eligibility. It is absurd and unacceptable that someone with such a poor grasp of the law has the authority to decide whether to process or even review paperwork. Her behavior went beyond simple confusion — she acted with misplaced confidence, incorrectly disputing information provided by USCIS officers and implying that their interpretation of the law was wrong. This level of arrogance combined with ignorance is extremely unprofessional and potentially harmful. Any employee in her position should review the applicant’s documents fully and allow the Department of State to make the final determination, as is proper procedure. Instead, Ms. Campos took it upon herself to act as the gatekeeper, refusing to review paperwork she was obligated to process, effectively blocking the application process based on her personal misunderstanding of the law. Ironically, her incompetence worked in my favor — I was forced to go to another location, where the officer who received me reviewed my case and immediately confirmed that I had all the necessary documentation. This only reinforces the fact that Ms. Campos’s actions were unjustified and based on misinformation. I initially tried to be understanding, assuming perhaps she lacked proper training. However, I have since learned that all passport officers receive the same training. This means that Ms. Campos’s errors are not due to lack of education, but due to a lack of professionalism, diligence, and willingness to do her job properly. To make matters worse, she showed no empathy, patience, or respect throughout the interaction. Having a “strong character” does not excuse being dismissive, uncooperative, or uninformed. Her tone and attitude were unnecessarily defensive and condescending, adding insult to injury. It’s also worth noting that many others have lodged similar complaints about passport services at post offices — particularly regarding staff members’ ignorance of the Child Citizenship Act. This indicates a pattern of negligence that needs to be addressed. I strongly urge anyone needing passport services to avoid this location. Go instead to the Park Place Library or the Canal Street precinct office, where the officers are far more competent, respectful, and informed. This review is not written out of frustration alone, but out of genuine concern that others might face the same mistreatment or delays due to the negligence of an employee who simply refuses to do her job properly. Julia Campos should not be in a position of authority if she cannot uphold basic standards of knowledge, professionalism, and service.

The only worth mentioning postal employee in this location is Mr. Arthur! The other male African American worker is absolutely rude; never smiles and zero customer care! But Arthur is always courteous and respectful when he does his job!

We came here to get our daughters passport. And I want to say I’ll definitely be coming here again. There was no line. And Carlos really went on and beyond to assist us. He was very patient and kind. It’s very hard to find someone who works at the post office that is pleasant. His customers service was out standing. My husband and I were very satisfied with our experience.
