I called prior to our daughters going to renew their passports and specifically asked if I needed to get a money order for the portion sent to the US Department of State and was told that I could pay in cash. Well, the post office charged for a money order. The price amount was not the problem. The problem was not accurately confirming that a money order (not cash) is required for $130 US Department of State fee.
