I had a genuinely disappointing experience at the USPS in McKinney. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt tense, and several employees seemed visibly unhappy to be there. What really crossed the line, though, was the way the staff spoke to customers — there was actual shouting happening at the counter. Not just firm instructions or clipped responses, but raised voices that made multiple people in line uncomfortable, myself included. I understand this location is busy and the employees are trying to keep the line moving, but there’s a big difference between being efficient and being hostile. The lack of patience, courtesy, and basic professionalism was honestly shocking. Customers shouldn’t feel anxious or scolded for asking a question or trying to follow directions. What makes the entire interaction even more ironic is that before they can print your receipt, they require you to rate your service on the card reader — while the person who just shouted at you is standing right there. It’s uncomfortable and puts customers in an awkward position, to say the least. I truly hope management addresses these issues, because the current environment is unacceptable and far below the standard that customers deserve.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Attendant at front was super dismissive and rude. I don’t have a printer at home and online it states that USPS can create labels in person. I go up to the older lady after waiting in line for 10+ minutes just for her to say that USPS doesn’t make shipping labels in person or that the employees that work in the front do not do that. Hm weird. Because the people in Melissa will and so does the one in Plano. Told me that I would have to go home and print it out and put it on the box and come back. State to her that I don’t have a printer again. I leave the line and go to the automatic kiosk machine in the front where OMG I can get shipping labels printed and not have to go home or have a printer.

I went there with wife and 2 small kids for passport renewal, the timing for walk-ins officially posted 1 pm to 2 pm, we waited for almost 70 mins, asking them again and again, they didn't do anything till 2 pm for their first appointment, and after all appointments are done then they served us around 2:40 pm, like they were doing us a huge favor. When asked, why they wasted official time, the person said, I didn't do anything that time, you just have wait till everyone is gone. They are slacking on their jobs. We paid almost $450 for 2 passport, it's not cheap, why they hate their job, and everyone was supporting each other on slacking. We were ringing their door bell, nobody was coming at all, even though almost 5 people were inside. They really hate people coming in, and their job. They just waste time, and chill behind the doors.

Sad excuse for a postal service! I’m not sure if the carriers are stealing or just not smart. I’ve had multiple packages come up missing and marked that they are in my mail box. These carriers should be held accountable for these things. This is absolutely ridiculous! I’m being told to contact whoever sent the items. No I’m contacting you all because it was lost or stolen from someone at this office! I’m making another complaint today! And no one ever answers the phones here which is also horrible customer service!
