Everytime I go into the PO in Marion I am so glad that we have such friendly and helpful postal workers in our little town! After having to go to NB Post Office a few times, I am so very happy that we don't have to deal with that. We are blessed!

The Marion Post Master told me today (1/25/21) that, due to "resident complaints", she has instructed her carriers to only deliver mail to the last name listed on the mail box. As a result, some of my mail which was addressed to me with no last name, was returned once and the second time was thrown away. She told me that mail sent from a non-profit, if not delivered, is thrown away. I don't understand why the mail carrier gets to decided which mail piece gets put in my mailbox. I thought all mail addressed to my address is supposed to be delivered to my address. I now have to print the Informed Delivery email and leave it in my mailbox with a note, to ensure I receive my mail. I guess if you want your mail delivered, make sure you list the names of all your kids, all your name changes you may have had, maiden name, previous marriage name, etc. You must spell it out or the carrier will not leave YOUR mail in YOUR mailbox. They are the deciding authority on what mail you should get.

I’ve never been a fan of usps. It seems to be synonymous for incompetency, but this particular one takes the cake. The worst customer service I have ever received and no accountability. Very sad
