Do not hastily enter this post office. You must prepare! A time of reflection, perhaps some lavender and calm classical or better yet, Gregorian chant, are a must to have even a slight chance of leaving this 9th circle of hell unscathed. If you are tired and thinking you can just run in and out and move on with your day, do not risk it. You must be well rested and prepared for the horrors that await you as you approach this postal office. I share my experience in hopes that you may forego the extreme suffering which I endured at the hands of a postal staff that left me in tears wondering what happened to our world? What happened to the friendly interactions of times gone by when people were kind? I suggest a thorough completion of St Francis De Sales Introduction to the Devout Life before entering that you may have a chance to suffer patiently having deepened your faith. If not, you may find yourself despairing as to why? Why do these employees yell at people just trying to pick up mail, buy some Christmas stamps, or send a small package? Why are they so condescending & rude? Why do they feel so empowered to threaten to withold someone's mail if they mistakenly do not abide by every petty rule of their minimum wage postal kingdom? What made them hate the us? What made them hate themselves? Where does the disdain come from? I beg you, prepare yourself! Or you will leave in tears of frustration wondering what happened to people? You will grab your phone and begin searching for real estate in small towns where you might have a chance to regain that hint of Mayberry, where people smiled at one another. I beg you to prepare. Entering hastily you will exit in frustration nearing despair. Signed - a woman who remembers when Kingwood was different.

Last fall, I needed to send a package to a family member in Ohio and went to tht Post Office in Kingwood. The posted hours for this location are 9AM to 6PM. I arrived at 5:40 and got in line. One of the workers finished with her customer and told the rest of us that they were getting ready to close and we would have to return the next day. When we pointed out that there was still 15 minutes till closing time she told us that we could complain if we want but they were not taking any more customers. As the other employees finished, they walked in back and lowered the security gates. This type of behavior can only exist in government jobs where people are too secure in their jobs. It is about time they privatize the Postal Service to lower costs and make employees accountable.

I drive an extra 10+ miles just to patronize this USPS location. The speed of service and ultra competency of the staff is the reason, and as a small business owner when I am taken care of so are my customers which makes all of the difference. From bulk parcels to sensitive letters I have had wonderful experiences working with this location, and personally logistics have always seemed like a labyrinth to me. Shout out to Edwin and Tee for not only being super patient and assisting me to the fullest, but in also explaining things to me along the way for my edification. Five stars isn't enough! Kingwood PO is now my dedicated shipping hub <3
