The store is a perfect example of why Staples will eventually go out of business. The manager is friendly and good at her job, but the remainder of the staff are untrained in basic Customer Service, unfriendly, and just bad. The print services are very poor. You will likely need to get your production job done over again when they get it wrong or damage the items. It also takes way too long, it takes DAYS to print one or two pages, and they even miss the deadlines that they set for themselves!! I highly recommend going to the FedEx on Washington. The staff there are friendly, prompt, and have extreme attention to detail. I really do not like the store and avoid it at all costs. Amazon, target, and FedEx can all accomplish the same things and do it lightyears better.

Been there a couple times. At first, I can see why it has a low rating. You really have to kind of know how it works especially with printing, but as I got my way around it and talked to the staff there in the clerks fair, which are they’re really nice I realize that they’re a good place to drop off packages. They even accept USPS packages up to 10 pounds with the label place correctly I guess you just have a lot of rules but if you know the rules, I guess it’s not that bad.

I am writing to express my concern regarding the customer service I experienced at your Houston location at 1919 Taylor St on the morning of November 6, 2025, between 8:00 and 8:30 AM. I frequently visit this store to complete Amazon returns, and unfortunately, I’ve consistently encountered poor service from one of the staff members working in the mornings. On this particular visit, I waited 3–5 minutes at the counter without being acknowledged while the employee conversed with a colleague about changing a password. I was then asked to step away from the counter and wait by the Amazon Drop-Off sign (literally 3 feet from the counter), where I waited another few minutes before being called BACK to the counter and assisted. After completing my return, the employee insisted I walk around to the exit door before handing me my receipt, which felt unnecessarily inconvenient. I told her to hand me my receipt right here at the counter I'm currently being serviced at like everyone else does. I did not ask for her name, as I was unsure I would receive an honest response, but I do have a photo of her if needed. This experience, along with previous ones, has made me feel unwelcome and undervalued as a customer. The overall attitude of the morning staff seems tense and lacking in basic customer service skills.

I recently visited this Staples location and was extremely impressed by the professionalism and leadership of the store manager, Amarie. She demonstrated excellent product knowledge, efficient problem-solving skills, and provided assistance in a way that was both courteous and attentive. The environment felt organized, welcoming, and well-managed. Their commitment to customer service is truly commendable. Highly recommended. The manager here is outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable, and truly cares about customer experience. I’ll definitely be returning because of the great service.

Extremely Rude and Unprofessional Store Manager My wife and I had a very disappointing experience at this Staples location. My wife very politely asked an employee where the Amazon returns were located, since there were only signs showing where to stand but nothing clearly marked for returns. The store manager—an older woman—responded in a very rude and dismissive tone, saying, “Behind the sign.” When she finished helping the customer before us, we walked up to the counter and placed our heavy packages down, as there were several items. Instead of being helpful, she snapped at us and said, “I never asked you guys to come up.” Her tone and attitude were completely uncalled for. When we calmly told her that she was being rude and could be more polite, she became defensive, insisting she wasn’t rude and even said she didn’t have to process our returns. I then asked who the store manager was, and she said it was her. Immediately after, she got a phone call and her attitude changed completely—she suddenly became overly polite, which made it obvious she realized how unprofessional she had been. This behavior is completely unacceptable, especially from a manager. If she’s having a bad day or doesn’t like her job, that’s no excuse to take it out on customers who are just trying to complete a simple return. No one deserves to be treated this way. I will definitely be reporting this incident to Staples corporate for review.
