YOUR SPECIALTY IS OUR SPECIALTY As a doctor-founded, doctor-led partnership organization, we’re focused on three dental surgical specialties – endodontics, oral surgery and periodontics. We provide efficient and effective back-office operational support across these specialties given their similarities while also ensuring we address the unique clinical aspects of each specialty.
I’m writing to share a deeply concerning experience with the third-party service that manages billing and scheduling. When I called to clarify a billing discrepancy—I was met with what felt like an attempt to intimidate me.
Rather than calmly addressing my question, the representative was interrupting me, saying that the things in the documentation are not true (despite me having the document and looking at it) and abruptly told me that she could cancel my upcoming appointment if she wanted to. This was completely unprompted—I had not requested a cancellation, nor implied I might. It felt like a clear attempt to discourage me from asking further questions by threatening access to care.

We were never told that Clifton Oral Surgery (SPECIALITY1 PARTNERS) did not accept any insurance until after the visit. The cost of our bill was around $10,000.00. Our dentist was SHOCKED and said he would not send patients there as it was very expensive.
AFTER they were paid in full (immediately after visit ) They said they would send the bill for the procedure to the insurance company. Aflac /Aetna sent them the check. When I asked the insurance as to WHY they sent THEM a check the Insurance company stated that they had "clicked " that box. Why would a company ask to get the check when they had already been paid in full. I just received my check today , almost TWO months after it was sent by the Insurance company. Almost TWO months of calling them asking "where is my check and WHY was it sent to them.
