I din not receive an expected Amazon shipment. When I looked on Amazon it said that I had requested that USPS to take my package back for a customer pickup……. Why would I meet the carrier at my mailbox and tell the to take it back to Gatesville so I could drive 40 miles roundtrip to pick it up? I certainly couldn’t contact the carrier any other way. Gatesville Post Office does not answer their phone. So I went to a 1-800 number. Incredibly useless number to dial. I tried three times and was unable to achieve any status on my missing package. Despite the system telling me to stay on the line for a survey that never happened either. What was reported on Amazon was a lie. People that do not tell the truth should not work at the Post Office.

Lazy mail person. Packages tossed on the ground inside gate. Tall grass, ant piles. Doesn't matter that we have a HUGE concrete turn around in front of our garage as well as table out there for boxes. The agreement with USPS was our covered front porch for packages. My husband and I are both elderly/disabled. I have been inside, struggling with a cane, waited in line and filed a report. It has not helped. Laziness.

I just visited this post office for the first time. There was an elderly lady in front of me and bless her heart she took quite a while. The lady assisting her was named Terry. Not once did she get agitated or annoyed but was full of smiles. She then answered my questions and helped me ship my package. In all my years I have never experienced a more polite, helpful, and joyous postal worker. She really knows the meaning of holiday cheer. Thank you Mrs Terry!
