The cards were sent by my wife’s grandmother for my wife’s 40th birthday on November 14th and my son’s 13th birthday on November 15th. Both cards were received today, but each envelope had already been opened before delivery. We know that money was enclosed in both cards, as my wife’s grandmother included a note saying “buy something nice.” Unfortunately, the money was missing when the cards arrived, indicating that it was stolen while in transit.
