- SSShawnaDec 24, 20251.0I had a really disappointing experience at the United States Postal Service at 2101 Colorado Blvd, Denton, TX 76205. The employee **PAIGE** was rude and dismissive from the start, and the way she spoke to me felt discriminatory/racist. She told me I had to pay for tape just to seal the top of my box. I refused to pay for a strip of tape because it was unnecessary, and the attitude behind it was even worse. When I said I was going to leave a review and explained my experience, she laughed at me and even moved her hair to the side so her employee name tag could be seen—like what I was saying meant absolutely nothing. That level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable, especially at a service we all support as taxpayers. She needs to be retrained and better equipped to work the front counter and interact with customers respectfully. I then drove to the post office at 101 E McKinney St, Denton, TX 76201 (5 more minutes down the road) and had a completely different experience. Gio helped me and I let him do his job normally—he packed my package, added the label, taped it, and scanned it for shipping with no issue and never mentioned paying for tape. After he finished, I told him what happened at the Colorado Blvd location. He laughed and said they shouldn’t be charging just to seal the top of the box, especially when they already have to add the label and tape it anyway. The difference in customer service was night and day. I will not be returning to the Colorado Blvd location. The McKinney St post office will be my new go-to location from now on.
