I went here earlier today close to closing time, and Marta was so sweet and helped me with my package situation. She took the time to assist me with care, which is why I wanted to write this review. Because of her, I was able to get my situation sorted, so shoutout to her, she was amazing! 💖

why do they hire a singular clerk for what seems to be a whole warehouse? I saw the Sheriff stuck in line here. THE SHERRIF!

I’ve lived in Conroe for two years. I’ve visited this post office many times since moving here. I learned quickly to be there when it opens to avoid the incredibly long lines and to have to wait even longer because every customer seems to have a complicated problem that it takes forever for a clerk to resolve. I believe the Conroe Post Office needs enough clerks to occupy every window, including someone to cover a window when a clerk takes a break. In the more than a dozen times when I have had to stand in line and wait for a window to open, at least nine clerks have been obnoxious and rude. I’ve had two who have been friendly, kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. Now if I go here later than 8 AM, I look for one of those two clerks. (Twice I’ve had the same kind clerk, but the other kind clerk that that I’ve had help from I’ve seen only once.) To get help from a kind clerk and when I’m the next person to receive help, I let other customers go ahead of me until a kind clerk is available. I just hate this post office. Another problem I’ve had is that mail I’m expecting never arrives at my home and is never returned to the sender. This includes two times when new checks have been sent to me. I have worried that some criminal has those checks and is out there using them. (Each time I’ve reordered my checks and have had them sent to my bank where I have gone to pick them up.) I also had two packages sent to me from a friend in England. The tracking number shows the package has arrived at the Conroe Post Office, but the packages have never arrived at my home. If you have to cope with the Conroe Post Office, be ready for a nightmare!
