I had a great experience mailing a package here the other week. Line was doable and Matthew was professional, even giving an extra helpful recommendation on mailing. Pleasant experience--nice to see at the post office.

I made the mistake of renewing my PO Box here. There is ALWAYS a line and it’s not even that busy, they’re just at a molasses pace here. Informed delivery will say my packages arrive and they take DAYS to get put in my mailbox. At this point I might take a loss and just get a box elsewhere. I truly DREAD coming here. I’ve lived in many states and cities and this is the usps I’ve disliked the most. They have no semblance of respect for people’s time. The employees are nice enough but they should bulldoze the place and start from scratch.

I love Donna and Dean but today I went in and had a weird experience. A man I’d never seen with a tattoo on his forearm was at the clerk’s counter. I sat my sealed envelope on the scale & he immediately said “don’t ever set anything on the scale” and came off a bit aggressive. As I was wrapping up, I had my phone out because I’d scanned a QR code and had it in my hand with my car keys. The clerk then said “are you recording a video? Because you have a right to record but I also have a right not to be in it.” I was once again taken aback as I was NOT recording anything wit my phone nor would I have a need to and said “no, why would I record?” And he said “well, just the way you were holding your phone.” What the actual heck? It was a bizarre interaction and this particular employee needs their head checked…should NOT be interacting with customers. Not sure if he’s just on a power trip, didn’t like the way I looked or something else but treat people kindly! My gosh.

This post office used to be reliable and efficient, but staff turnover from retirements and departures has noticeably hurt service quality. I've started avoiding it because routine transactions now feel unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. Most recently, I booked two passport appointments online, selecting the Colleyville location specifically because the USPS scheduler listed it as offering photo services. Out of caution, based on past experiences, I checked recent reviews after scheduling. Sure enough, a review from about three months ago described arriving for an appointment only to find the photo machine broken, with no prior notification from USPS, leaving the customer inconvenienced and unable to complete the service. Hoping things had improved, I called and spoke directly with the manager, Andy, today. He confirmed that 3 months later the photo machine is still out of order. The website and appointment system have not been updated to reflect this reality, so the location continues to appear as a full-service passport option (including photos) when it is not. USPS needs to promptly update their online tools to show this as "passport services only—no photos" to prevent others from wasting time and appointments. It's disappointing to see such a drop in reliability at what was once a solid local office.

This used to be my go-to post office for shipping packages from my small business when Dean was working there. In the last weeks, I see new employees and the service has gone downhill. The interior chute where you can drop off pre--paid packages is locked many times. I don't think we should have to stand in line to hand the clerks a pre-paid package done via click& ship or business accounts where our business has made the pre-paid label. I can't tell if the inside drop-off chute is filled and the 4 employees I saw working today just never empty the container and the chute locks or if they never unlocked it. It was also locked and not working two days ago. They should know that between 4-6 pm is a busy inside drop time for businesses. As it was when I called out that we had 3 people wanting to use the chute and it is locked, two of the agents looked at each other and asked if the other could unlock it. There seems to be a huge diffusion of responsibility and no one took action out of the 4 working people until we got very vocal and nasty. Management is bad and I will have to choose a different location for my business pre-paid drop offs.
