I would rate 5 stars if this post office didn’t close early as 1 pm!! This is outrageous and I have no car and I would have to go all the way there by bus with limited accessibility!! Plus, there’s no direct phone number!! The phone number listed is only the toll-free hotline and no the local posr office’s!!!

Location at: 1914 E 6th St, Austin, TX 78702 Previously, I had two packages opened going to different locations at different dates form this location. In the first one (going to Boston), the package was opened, an item was removed, and the package was taped back up with no indication of what happened. That seemed a mystery to me until later that year, a package going to my mom (in MN) for xmas arrived taped up, and the pistachios inside were opened, with rat or mouse poop in them. This location shares a building with a restaurant on each side, so I assume the rats are checking the packages out in their off time. I had decided not to go to that location again, but needed to today as I didn't have time to go to another. I told the person working there what had happened, and he was incredibly unprofessional and uninterested in the situation. I didn't have time to go to another location today, so I brought my package here against my better judgement. I reported my past experience to the person there, and he nearly laughed me out of the store. He took no interest in understanding what had happened, and definitely no possibility of looking at his facility for issues. I will never go to this location again.
