If you drop off a pre-labeled package in the drop off area they won’t scan it in for days on end. Instead you should go to the westchester office since they scan them immediately. I have eBay sales that I send out and it looks bad on me with this post office taking ages to even pre scan anything.

Had a passport appointment for my child and got there early only to wait an hour for no one to call my name. Turns out the office was closed, with no sign, no call, and no email telling me of the closing. Totally incompetent and unprofessional. Hopefully some one losses there job because of this and others horrible reviews.
