I had an extremely frustrating experience at Staples, largely due to the behavior of the store manager, Tracey. I came in for a single item — labels — and could not find them in what appeared to be the correct location, despite the product showing in stock online. Two employees repeatedly directed me to aisle 16 but offered no assistance beyond sending me back on my own (3 different times), even though the item was not there. When I returned and asked for help locating where the product should normally be stocked, the manager, Tracey, made it clear I was inconveniencing her and was reluctant to assist. She made it quite clear I was inconveniencing her and forcing her to get off her ladder and assist a customer. When she finally came to aisle 16, she stated she would not help because she believed I was frustrated and “yelling,” which I was not. Without explanation, discussion or apology, she then walked to a completely different area of the store where the labels were actually located and told me to take what I needed and leave. I tried to repeatedly ask her where we were going and she clapped back and stopped several times as if to hold the power of the labels over my head. All very unprofessional and rather controlling. This interaction demonstrated poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and inadequate staff training. Staples failed at providing basic customer assistance during what should have been a very average and simple purchase.

When you stepped into a Staples, you saw a staff grabbed a bottle a Gatorade, walking toward a non-staff and another staff saying : I promise I will pay for it. Then they started talking and talking. Questions: what would you think this staff was doing? 1) chatting with his friend and enjoying his Sunday afternoon 2) working with a customer to solve his problem. When I stepped in this afternoon, there was a long line, the only line with staff checking out/ Amazon return. Then I saw the staffed got a Gatorade as I described above and the staffs were chatting nearby not helping with the long line. I went up and asked politely : excuse me, is that the only place to checkout? Then this woman with long blonded hair (name starts with “T”)stepped up and saying the other staff was helping the customer, as if my interruption was very rude. Obviously, my “rude “ behavior reminded them there were a lot of customers waiting, she started helping with check out. After that I figured the long line is for Amazon return only. I have been there several times, always like that. You saw several staffs around, but only one poor staff was helping the customers checking out/ Amazon return. The management seems terrible at this location. That old woman was very rude and not doing the job. I guess I should stick to online shopping in the future.

Review is for management at 812 W McDermott Dr Allen, TX 75013 United States *** Only 1 star because I can give 0! *** The Assistant Store Manager at the Staples in Allen Texas, Brandon, should be fired immediately. The way he talks to customers is absolutely egregious especially to be in a management position. To speak down to a customer, as if he was above them, all for not wanting to be inches away from another customer in a line is ridiculous. If management can’t control which lines are for check out and which ones are for Amazon returns, it is not the customer’s responsibility to make their job easier by getting inches away from each other so the employees can decipher who was checking out or doing returns. Then to call in to the employee over their ear piece radios who was doing Amazon returns telling them to make sure a customer was unable to return a product, to specifically use a bag that they knew the product would not fit in so that it couldn’t be returned. If I was his employer he would be fired on the spot hearing how he spoke. There is no telling how he speaks to his fellow coworkers. I will never do business here again and hope that no one else does as well. Absolutely poor management and customer service.

We normally go to this Staples, one young man helped us find some notebooks, he turned us over to a young woman that had the social skills of a rock, we felt like we had inconvenienced her, went to check, one guy, a wait, a lady yells across the room, checkout or return, again felt we were inconveniencing to the staff, just to check out, I now know why you have a 4 rating, please step up your customer service
