I go out of my way to come to this office. All of the clerks are so helpful, fast, and efficient. Tricia is so kind and patient. She treats every customer like they are her friend and keeps everyone laughing whether we are at her counter or waiting in line. I always hope I get her. I’ve never had so much fun going to the post office. I always leave in a better mood than I came in. I decided to write this review because I was in the lobby yesterday when I witnessed a customer coming at close, being met with consideration, but not getting her way because she wanted the clerks to scan something that they couldn’t verify was accurate. I heard her telling the manager that they were racist and making claims about what happened, and I see that she left a review telling blatant lies about what happened. She was told that they couldn’t give her a receipt having not seen the packages she supposedly shipped. She kept arguing with them and refused to leave. They told her they were closed, and she stepped quickly up to the counter when they tried to close the gate above it. They then told her it was a government building and that if she didn’t allow them to close, they would have to call the cops, and they were much more calm than her but firm. The customer got emotional and then revealed that she had the packages out of their sight at which point the clerks offered to go ahead and provide her a receipt if she would present them to her. She still refused. That’s when the manager came out of the back, taking the packages and scanning whatever she was fussing about. That is when I heard her telling tall tales and then saw her tell a clerk who hadn’t previously even spoken when she came out to lock up that she was racist, too. These clerks are so sweet to everyone and respond as politely as possible to the most awful people who come in rude and entitled. I’ve seen Tricia often closing by herself with a line out the door, still smiling and doing her best to get to everyone. However, they have to close and go home to their families, too.

I experienced an extremely hostile and racially discriminatory incident at this USPS location today. When I arrived at the front desk around 5:53 pm, a dark-haired female clerk immediately told me, in an aggressive tone, that they were already closed. I calmly explained that there were still a few minutes left and that I only needed her to scan the shipment manifest — nothing else. I am the owner of a small business called NABA Cosmetics, and I was dropping off customer shipments. I had already placed all my packages in the USPS cart outside next to the door. There was absolutely nothing left for her to do except scan the manifest, which takes less than one second. Instead of helping, she began yelling at me, making hostile and racially charged comments, accused me of federal fraud, threatened to call the police, and even said she would call ICE. She snatched the manifest out of my hands, refused to return it, and closed the door in my face. I was crying, and she continued yelling while I was only trying to take my packages and my paperwork and leave so I could return the next day. I felt extremely unsafe, intimidated, and humiliated. Another blonde employee was present, but the dark-haired clerk was clearly the one escalating the situation. A manager eventually intervened, apologized, and scanned the manifest. No customer or small business owner should ever be treated this way for following standard USPS procedures. Unfortunately, I had left my phone in my car, so I wasn’t able to record what was happening.

As a former government employee, I really want to stand up for people who engage in public service, but I really can't with this office. After having issues with my business mailbox, they deliberately ignored my phone calls (I had to call from a different number to speak to someone), and the operator was incredibly rude. They applied NO critical thinking skills whatsoever to my problem and chose to blame me instead. I'm not even the property owner and had no way of knowing what the inside of the full building mailbox looked like. They did not even offer a solution on how to make the issue less confusing for the mail carrier. They are unprofessional and rude.
