I deposited an envelope with a sizeable check in it at the blue postal box in front of Walmart in Lenoir City. When I put the letter in, it felt as if it didn't fall into the box. I then realized that the box was completely full but I couldn't retrieve my letter as it had slid back onto the top of the other mail out of reach. Two weeks later, the recipient still hasn't recieved my letter. I called the 800 number on the website only to get the run around. I simply wanted to ask if that box was emptied regularly and had it been emptied recently but I couldn't get past the automated phone service to speak to a representative. So, I still dont know if the box has been emptied but I have never seen a box so full of mail. I guess since the government shutdown was in place, the postal workers weren't performing their duties. Funny how the price to mail a letter continues to go up but we continue recieve poor service like this.

I work in LC so very convenient for me. I'm sending my daughter packages 2-3 times a week. It gets expensive and last Friday one of the Supervisor said Priority Mail ( 4 size Boxes/ 2 sizes envelopes) would be cheaper with flat rates(and they are free to get) The smallest 7.95$ flat rate(paper but thicker) was the one I was dropping off today. I get to window and he says 21.15$. I ask why is it so expensive..I have the small Priority Envelope (says at top) I paid 8.67$ last time with same envelope. He rolls his eyes at me and says "No you didn't". Yes sir I did..he again says..."No you didnt". I tell him "Yes...I did.Your Supervisor last Friday showed me where and what to get for all flate rate priority mail. He AGAIN says "No they didn't". (For a fraction of a second..I think I'm being Punked. That's how LUDICROUS this guy is acting)"Sir... You have a display right there with THESE envelopes for 7.95quot; "No..there isn't" (as I'm LOOKING at display.) By this time it 4:56pm...My daughter needs this envelope...and I'm at my "loosening my damn cool" point. I pay the 21.15$ and walk away. I politely take a picture of display and leave. Tomorrow...

This has got to be the worst U.S. P.O. in the nation. Why has someone in our federal government not investigated them yet. They are the laziest uninformalion uncaring rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting.
