I normally LOVE this UPS store and have always initiated my Amazon returns here, especially when the really nice tall agent is working there (he gets 10 stars if I could give it!) But today's service only gets a 2-star review. I was introduced to a new system to return my packages. Normally, I never incur any problems but this morning I was instructed that I had to purchase a $3.00 box "because Amazon requested it." OR I needed to go home and get the brown paper bag that is literally destroyed when you open it and it was already damaged from rain and thrown in the trash. I refused to purchase a box to make a return.
Back in my car, I called Amazon customer service. They looked at my return instructions and agreed with me that it does not state any where in the instructions to return it in the "original shipping bag", only the plastic bag (which it was packaged and enclosed in) OR in another secure method if that bag wasn't available. Amazon was adamant that the instructions from UPS were incorrect, and they immediately rectified it for me and issued me a refund and gift certificate to apologize for UPS's incorrect interpretation of the instructions.
Needless-to-say, I don't believe I'll be initiating any more returns to this UPS store unless the other agent is onsite (because he is truly very customer-service oriented) or unless the training of Amazon returns is improved with other staff members.

1 Star - Unacceptable Customer Service and Dishonesty from Staff
I'm compelled to share an extremely disappointing experience my wife had at this location on 11/9/25. She arrived to process an Amazon return. After waiting a couple of minutes she was directed to use the self-service kiosk rather than receiving assistance from the employee.
When another customer entered and inquired about the kiosk, my wife made a comment about being directed to self-service. The employee's response was unprofessional and dismissive: "maybe don't come in 10 minutes before close then." This was said in front of other customers, one of whom began verbally berating my wife, calling her derogatory names. Rather than de-escalating the situation or asking the aggressive customer to stop, the employee thanked this person for "defending" him—essentially endorsing the verbal abuse directed at my wife.
The employee then proceeded to help another customer who had just entered while my wife continued waiting at the kiosk, still being yelled at by the other patron. He made no attempt to intervene or ensure a safe environment for all customers.
When I returned to the store to address this incident and get his name, the employee was dishonest, claiming my wife "just started yelling" at him. This is categorically false. My wife is not confrontational and was visibly shaken by this experience—she was in tears afterward.
Customers deserve basic courtesy and honesty from staff, regardless of what time they arrive during business hours. The combination of dismissive service, enabling customer-on-customer harassment, and then lying about the incident is completely unacceptable. I strongly encourage management to review this matter and provide appropriate staff training.

Worse experience ever. An employee at this store was so unprofessional, would not help me with an issue i was having trying to print out some documents. I would never return to this place.
