I can’t speak to carrier delivery (although given the geography of this area, I’d probably give them a little grace), but having a PO Box with them is great. Staff is always friendly. I’m in there a lot so I see quite a few examples of what the 1 and 2 stars are about. Since a large amount of the “houses” in Gatlinburg are STRs - it’s not reasonable for them to try to accurately deliver packages to them. One review mentioned a male worker jokingly telling a lady to throw it over the plexiglass and then continuing the joke about how packages are handled. There is an open area to the right where you put packages. Learn to take a joke. Anyway, love these guys. They get a lot of flack and deserve more appreciation. Not to mention, no sane person goes out of their way to write a good review for the post office even if they are happy with their service.

I usually don't leave negative reviews, but the service I received today was unacceptable. I was looking for help with a missing parcel and the gentleman working the counter was extremely rude. Dealing with lost mail is stressful enough without being snapped at by staff. I hope management addresses the tone and helpfulness of the front-end team.

For almost a year I have been trying to get our packages left on our carport. Sometimes they are and sometimes not. Our packages have been left on the driveway , on top of a bag of top dirt, under pine trees on 3 occasions, left hanging out of the mail several times, n on the road below the mailbox . I have been to the post office and complained and showed them the pictures. I was told the driver; shouldn't do that, It's just being lazy etc. I was told on two occasions the postmaster would call me, that has not happened. I went back up this morning w pictures of 3 packages left under the pine trees about 4 feet behind my car. They took pics of some of the pictures I had. And they said they would give my number again to the post master. The post master didn't call the route carrier said the post master told him to handle it...talking with him on the phone was useless. All he wanted to do is tell me of their dos n dont's. He told me he's not suppose to this or that based on their guidelines etc. So i said , then your breaking the post office guidelines when you do leave packages on the carport. I'll be calling the post office complaint line on Monday. This is not over

While I had my packages cushioned, I went to drop off items for some customers and a guy there told me to throw my packages over the glass so he could catch them. When I told him that I didn't feel comfortable doing that because I didn't want them thrown he told me "I hate to be the bearer of bad news..." And while I understand that packages get rattled around i do not like that an employee told me to throw my packages over and risk getting damaged. I will be filing a formal complaint.
