- SSShay SimonsOct 11, 20251.0Ordered a package after I had done my forwarding address for my new house after we moved. Tracking indicated it would be forwarded to my new address. After waiting 3 days beyond when it was supposed to be here and having that same message daily, notification said I must pick it up at USPS. I went to USPS this morning and was told that I owed $12.99 postage for them to forward it to my new address... when I literally had to come in person to get it, so that forwarding they wanted me to pay for never happened. I am extremely confused why I would have to pay a cost for forwarding delivery when I am literally picking it up in person and thus they did not do the delivery they wanted me to pay for. I told them to return to sender because I am not paying the cost for a delivery that THEY never did. Unsure what the point of filling out the forwarding address paperwork is when I'm going to be asked to do their job for them and pay out of pocket for them not doing their job.

And they didn’t even issue me the refund for it. I went there like 13 times to ask about my package but the staffs there only tell you the information that you already know like the current location of the package. On god! thats the only thing that they tell you. I don’t know what they are there for. I don’t wanna be rude, but it is what it is. Also many of my usps packages don’t get delivered to my home I don’t know why, I always have to go talk to them about it everytime.

Our home delivered mail person is always courteous and has even covered a piece of mail with postage due and left a little envelope to reimburse the cost that they covered for us. The only problem that we have encountered is with the mailbox drop on Plum Street near the Prentis Park. Mail seems to repeatedly get very late delivery from there.
