They're not always open and appointment highly recommended but it was the easiest passport application/renewal experience I've EVER had!!! They did everything in house from pictures, to the fees and mailing everything off and suggesting the best process expedited v regular. We did have our paperwork completed and printed and required documents with us, so we did our homework, but the process was super easy and no waiting in long lines with numbers and hoping they didn't close before you got to the front of the line.

We came for a passport appointment for our children. We showed up about 5 minutes early and granted, this office is small and can’t hold many in the office at once. Another family was in there but I wanted to let the employee know that we were there and I opened the door (there’s two doors to go through to get in) and was asked if I was there for a passport appointment. I said yes and was told “go outside”. No we will be with you shortly, no hello, nothing, just go wait outside. I went outside and waited with my family and we completely understood that they were short staffed as there was only one person working. While we waited, another employee showed up for help. When it was time for us to finally go in he began to help us. He was very nice, friendly, and explained some questions we had. He apologized that we had to wait. I had to fill some forms out and I used a pen from my purse as forms were handed to me but no pen. Halfway through we were switched to the employee who told me to go outside. After looking at one of the two forms, she asked me to fill in a few things I missed. I did and then proceeded to fill out the second form. Once done, I handed them both back to her in which she said, “mom, really! Blue ink?!” No one told me it had to be black ink, it’s not written anywhere on the form! I checked up and down- no mention of color! And she looked at my first form (written in blue ink) and didn’t say anything then about it being the wrong color. So after I was made to feel like a fool, she asked if we wanted a card or a book. We honestly didn’t know the difference so my husband and I looked at each other and shrugged trying to figure out which to get. We asked her and she said in a very short tone, “just pick one! Do you want a card or a book?!” Feeling put on the spot we just picked one (an explanation would have been appreciated). I understand that she may have been frustrated or having a bad day but what got me really good was how kind she was to the family right before us (I got to witness the last few minutes of their interaction with her) and how thorough she was with them, how patient she was with them, and how friendly she was with them. The unfortunate thing is my children asked me why she was so mean, and why was she particularly rude to me. I wish it could’ve been a fun experience for the four of us but it was awful and I left feeling like I just wanted to cry. My advice would be to make an appointment elsewhere and avoid this office if at all possible.

Although I receive my mail through a different branch, the White Rock Post Office is the one I choose to travel to for mailing packages and purchasing mailing supplies. Best customer service ever...day after day after day! The employee at the counter and the Postmaster are friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I consider it a privilege to drive a bit further to visit this location. A+++++ Keep up the great job!!
