This post office has been consistently unprofessional and unreliable. Certified mail and packages requiring a signature are never handled correctly. I receive no slips, no knocks, no notice at all. Unless I put my mail on hold and drive to the post office myself, I have no way of knowing when important mail arrives. The carrier has also been openly rude and careless. I have video footage of her throwing packages into my yard, which has damaged items. Mail has gone missing and even been held without explanation. When I filed a complaint, I was quickly told “that’s policy,” but that doesn’t excuse the lack of basic communication or the poor handling of mail. Rural delivery may have its limitations, but professionalism and accountability should still be expected. Worst postal service I have ever received mail from, their 1 star rating overall is for a reason.

The staff there have always been friendly and helpful. It's much better than dealing with the lines and often rude clerks at the main post office in Florence.

Timmonsville postal service is by far the worst ever. I was told by a female employee (Louise) that I can not hold my mail/packages unless I am going out of town. She spoke to me as if she had an attitude just because I preferred to have my packages held at the postal service so I could pick it up due to my work schedule. I have made complaints over the years about stolen/lost packages and got no help or refund. I am going to look further into this because it should not be a problem for me to pick up my packges. They would not have a job if it were not for handling our mail and packages, yet they are horrible to people. When I go there in person the female clerk look and speak with an angry tone. They deliver my mail/packages despite me putting in a request for hold mail in advance. I am going to have to go to a source much higher because the employees at this postal service are rude and don't follow the rules.
