If I could give this place -0 I would! They said they tried to deliver my package with informed delivery but my mom was sitting outside the whole time and NO ONE even came to the door!!!! I paid 15 bucks for nothing. This post office should be out of business!!!

This post office is by far the worst I have ever seen. Every time I go there if you don't get there early and even then.. the line is all the way down the hall. It's like the EVERYTIME I go there. Nobody should have to wait in line for hours like this. Their self service option doesn't work half the time or the bin is full. Most of the time there is only one person working (god bless their soul) and u am sure it's frustrating to that person as well. But they never do anything to even lighten the mood . As in a simple smile. My mail at home is worse now than during the holidays. I'm always getting a message saying my package will be there on this day but then later on it will say there was something blocking my mailbox, or it will say it's been delivered and it's not in my mailbox. When you go down their you wait in line for hours to ask about a package that was never delivered anyways, they didn't even have it in the mail truck, there was nothing blocking my driveway, and they tell you something basically just to shut you up. They are always full of excuses. Now I have been waiting on a package that was suppose to be here Thursday, then it said Friday, then it said Saturday, now it says Tuesday. Due to weather conditions. I don't have anything else getting hung up anywhere else. I even received something from the same exact state with no problems. I don't like being lied to and I'm just supposed to accept their answer instead of them just being honest. When you call the post office, never get an answer. NEVER! OF COURSE THEY ALWAYS BLAME USPS AS A WHOLE. well that might be acceptable if this whole area is full of attitude and excuses no matter where you go. So I am well aware it's not me personally . But the customer service at 2 out of 3 locations I have used in Summerville, ladson, and north Charleston and all of them have the same crappy attitude and they NEVER have enough help. It's ridiculous!

I can understand the negative reviews. This post office was designed to accommodate the demands of 1983. It’s 43 years later and the area has exploded. The post office needs to be expanded to more than 2 or 3 clerks when it’s busy. Having said that, I give those people at the counter props for the job they do under the circumstances. I have a PO Box there. This morning I went to pick up an item that tracked as delivered but wasn’t there. The clerk went above and beyond to find it, which turned out to have had the incorrect box number on the address. I was grateful. It’s a stressful job for them, I’m sure, and many times I’ve silently cussed at waiting in the long lines, but then again I know it’s because they are understaffed and in an outdated facility.
