    Visited the post office today to accept a certified letter, and to my surprise, it wasn’t crowded. The line was short, and I was able to reactivate my PO Box for six months. Customer service was great and the staff were friendly. My only concern is the process: only one person can handle PO Box reactivations, which is challenging for those with full-time jobs especially since that employee doesn’t work weekends. It would also be nice to have a post office closer to Cane Bay instead of having to choose between this location, Moncks Corner, or Goose Creek. Overall, service was good, but the process could be smoother.

    Carrier continues to take my mail out in the field and my mail is on hold. I went to pick up my mail it was with him. The next week he did it again!!!!!! If my mail is on hold it shouldn't even be leaving the facility. Now I have to come back AGAIN tracking my mail down. Canceled two credit cards because I never got them...informed delivery showed they were in my days mail but I never got them. Supervisor dont care about anything!!! Horrible

    I’ve tried calling for days and no answer. They didn’t deliver my packages to my door. I’m just trying to figure out why. The excuse was it wouldn’t fit in the mailbox. It’s a medium sized box of course it’s not going to fit. They need to fire all of the employees at the Gum street post office in Summerville. They are worthless.

    We sent a package priority mail to our daughter in Summerville, SC. It arrived one day late and the postman left it in the wrong mail box. If it wasn’t for an honest neighbor she would have never received her package. With today’s checks and balances the USPS has in place, this should never happen and should not be tolerated. We tried contacting the Summerville post office and could never get anyone to answer the phone.

    They make you stand in line for 45 minutes to an hour just to hand them a package that already has a prepaid label. This is the only post office I've ever been to that does this. It seems the employees don't know how to scan a package out of a bin so you have to wait in line to hand it directly to them.
