Usually my visits to the post office, no matter the reason, is pleasant for the most part aside from one particular individual that has a horrible attitude every single time with everyone. I believe his name is Antjuan. Until today, iv never had the pleasure of meeting the post master Shanda Coleman and after today, I hope no one ever does. From the second she come around the corner, she was already hot. The mix of smart remarks, cutting off while I talk and lack of eye contact made for a nasty experience. I held my composure and told her I understood she couldn’t help me with what I needed help with. However, there’s a way to speak to people. It’s SUPER obvious she has an authority complex & I feel terrible for anyone that has to work for her or ever encounter her. I usually don’t go out of my way to share how horrible a customer service experience was but beings that I myself am in customer service with an authority title, I would have been fired a long time ago if I had her attitude.

PROS; The woman that works the counter early hours is phenomenal. She is usually a loan and has a system. She's polite and humble. Rare for a post office these days. CON; they are understaffed. There is no signage. For instance a guy waited 10 minutes in line just to drop off a package. Maybe a sign saying how to get assistance on other matters.

Two years ago I had checks stolen, washed, rewritten and cashed. I figured someone took them from my mailbox. I was wrong. After I began dropping my mail off at the post office, it never reached it's destination. I called the district office and reported it and within days mail that had been missing for months started finally reaching its destination. Someone there had been keeping my mail. Now last week my carrier has passed by my mailbox with the flag up and just kept going leaving my outgoing mail sitting there two days in a row. I honestly suspect that this is intentional retaliation and I will be addressing it with district as such.

Postmaster is extremely unfriendly, rude, and short when answering questions. She cut me off and seemed upset she had to do her job.

Ben, the blonde man with the beard at the North Augustan location, is one of the kindest employees I've ever met at the post office. Anytime people start to line up he moves as quickly as he can and lets everyone know what the wait time is and apologizes. He's always friendly, always actively working, and even made a comment about how he felt so bad that sometimes he sees me squat on the floor when there is a long wait. He said that although sometimes there are not enough people working there, he tries to go as quickly as he can to make us all comfortable. He remembers people's faces and names, and is just generally very enjoyable to interact with. I wanted to leave this review for him so that he is given the recognition he deserves. Thanos is also a wonderful employee at this location. He's professional, hardworking, and helped me with a challenging location issue one time!
