Great Staff, Overwhelmed by Returns
As a long-time resident here in downtown Greenville, I want to say that this Staples has THE Best staff anywhere and I still want to support them, but this whole situation with the Happy Returns and Amazon returns has become a real problem. A serious problem! It has turned into a shipping center, not exaggerating.
The staff here are absolute gems; they are friendly, patient, and clearly trying their best. But bless their hearts, they are completely swamped. It's reached the point where they are so busy processing mountains of returns that getting basic customer service for a paying retail purchase feels like a major inconvenience. I've waited an unreasonable amount of time just to buy a box of envelopes while watching an associate manage a cart full of returns by themselves.
Bottom line for my fellow Greenvillians: If you need to stop in for supplies, plan for a wait, because of the returns counter. The employees are great people, but corporate needs to give them more help. Until then, it's tough to get the service they're capable of providing.
