was told i had to get a mailbox on the road a couple years back but to this day the house a couple doors down still does not have a mailbox. The carrier refuses to leave anything on the porch at neighbors (although we agreed on that) because she once saw a snake. When i complained to Post Master it was ignored.
Was sending books to a friend and clerk at the counter would not believe it was books and would not let me ship via media mail.
Customer service is none existent and Post Master is no help.
When sending anything I now make the trip to Johnston SC instead of dealing with the Edgefield SC post office

Mail carrier refuses to get out of their vehicle to deliver my packages, because I have two dogs outside. My dogs are not aggressive and stay far away from strangers when they arrive, however they do bark. (As seen on my Cameras)...The post office agreed to leave my packages with my neighbor, and yet here we go again, I have to get off work for the 20th time to go to the post office and pick it up, bc they refuse to do their job. This has been addressed repeatedly with the post master, who could care less! Horrible customer service!!

I thought that the post offices in Georgia were bad. Not anymore! The Edgefield post office, in its entirety, beginning with its postmaster, is incompetent, disorganized, and very unhelpful. The postmaster's answer to everything was "I don't know". How did she get this federal, well-paid position when she knows nothing about the functions of it? She has to be replaced with somebody who is qualified and knows how to serve the residents of Edgefield efficiently.
