- LLLaurie LAug 7, 20191.0My 84 yr. old mother has been dealing with a HORRIBLE CARRIER who REFUSES to deliver her mail. My mother lives on a busy highway & her mail box was across the road. She fell into the busy road once & someone rescued her or she would have been run over. After this, she called the P.O. & was allowed to move the mail box to her drive way. The mail carrier started driving through her yard, eventually causing a HUGE crater in her front yard. She has been going back & forth with Mr. Harrell, Post Master to get this Carrier to STOP driving through her front yard, as we are worried that a sink hole will open due to the crater the Carrier has created. My mother has paid SEVERAL people to move the mail box to a place where the Carrier can deliver the mail without DRIVING THROUGH HER FRONT YARD, all to no avail. The ONLY 2 OPTIONS they are giving my 84 yr.old mother is 1. Put the mail box back across the street & use her walker & risk her life to get her mail, OR 2. Let the Carrier DRIVE THROUGH HER FRONT YARD, making the crater deeper & larger EVERY DAY, the crater the POSTAL SERVICE CREATED. If she does NOT comply with one of those 2 so called options, the Carrier REFUSES to deliver her mail. WE HAVE CALLED EVERYONE, all the way to Washington DC and NO ONE WILL HELP! Next we will be going PUBLIC with this!
