Unsupportive passive-aggressive staffer refused my request to borrow tape gun (on the counter) to attach pre-printed label to my package yesterday morning. I then called Broad River Road location, where response from helpful friendly UPS team member who answered was "I got you covered!" So guess where I now conduct my UPS business?

Anthony was so helpful. Stayed late to help me ship my laptop to get it repaired, even though it was FedEx and not UPS. He taped the box and added the label. He rocks!

I have been coming to this location for a few months on and off since it’s near one of my favorite grocery stores. I dropped off an Amazon return package on August 5, 2025 at 3:09 PM via QR code. I took a picture of the package before leaving the store and got my receipt which shows the date and time of drop off. Received notification that UPS package has not been received. Called 1800 UPS was redirected to contact this store location where I dropped off the package. From my past experiences at this location, the staff is friendly and helpful but today Sep 9, 2025 was my 1st time encountering an issue where a package I dropped off cannot be track via the UPS website, via the USP 1800 number / reps or via this store location via store rep. 😦🤔🤔. Once I received the notification that the package wasn’t received, I thought well this is odd. I dropped the package off 1 month ago and assumed the return was on its way. I tried to explain the series of steps taken regarding my package to the UPS in-store employee and on what occurred with my package and wanted to know why this happened. Normally to my understanding when you drop off a package via QR code, the label is created and scanned initially at the store than perhaps scanned again by the UPS drivers as it moves through their network till final delivery destination. For whatever reason this didn’t happen!!! The store employee asked for the tracking number and than replied: the package is lost and that I need to file a claim on the UPS website. I explained to the in-store rep that I know it’s lost and that’s why I am contacting this store where I dropped my return package per the instructions of the 1800 UPS reps because they advised me to do so. I understand that it’s a lost package but where is the initial scan from the label created via QR code when I dropped the package off at this store location??? The initial scan tracks that the package was taken by this UPS store location which is the foundation of this tracking problem. My package shows as “not being in their possession” as if it never got dropped off!!! I also inquired if I could speak to a district manager or someone other than the rep since he stated that he was the manager. The rep stated that there are no district managers but I know that there is someone in charge other than managers at this location 🤔. Nevertheless after this run a round and inaccurate information regarding their lost package procedure between the 1800 UPS store and this store location I went online to file a claim and guess what!! I can’t file a claim because the package wasn’t received or scanned when the label was created. It’s showing that the package isn’t in the UPS network/ possession. Also can’t file a claim on the UPS website as I am not the merchant. The merchant requesting the return has to file the claim 🤕. Contacted Return Amazon Merchant and told them this entire ordeal. They verified that they did receive the package in their warehouse via UPS on August 11, 2025. So what’s going on here??? How is it possible that I have a package that was dropped off, has no tracking history on the UPS website, 1800 UPS nor the local rep at this location couldn’t track the package , can’t be verified with tracking or being in UPS possession , is considered “ a lost package” but was delivered? Ok won’t be dropping off and sending anything from this location again!!!
