- MMMarkSep 26, 20252.0This Portsmouth, Rhode Island location needs a lot of TLC from the parking lot needing defined lines, to the windows being cleaned, the interior with water damage and it just looks old and dingy there's no upkeep whatsoever. depending on who you get at the window they're either friendly or aloof.

But the pleasant and helpful Portsmouth agent turned the anxious moment into a fond memory. A letter had been returned due to an incorrect address. The agent offered to address the letter correctly and resend it. She even looked up the address in hopes of resolving the error. A quick call to the professional who had preprinted the address label on the letter revealed the mistake. A return call to the PO was answered by the same pleasant agent. Issue was resolved! Her good nature and knowledge were a lovely Monday morning blessing.

- MDMichael DavisJan 22, 20211.0I was there on Jan 22. I had a very important letter to mail. I looked up the website, which said that they were open until 5:30 pm. I arrived before 5:00. I was filling out an envelope that I needed to pay them for, when the girl asked me if there was anything she could start ringing up, as they were closing. I told her that the website said they were open until 530, and if I’d known they were closing at 5:00 I wouldn’t have come in. Since I’d already started filling everything out, I now had to pay for it. I finished as quickly as I could, which was only another minute, but the girl was hostile and rude. It was completely unnecessary. I got there in time. This is only the second time I’ve ever been to this post office and the younger man, who was there again today, was very unpleasant then too. She was so rude that I called her on it. If my letter doesn’t arrive I’ll know who is responsible. From reading other reviews it is obvious that this is the norm for this office. Whoever is in charge of these two needs to train them on appropriate customer service. They both have unpleasant and arrogant attitudes.
