The one star is strictly because the negative star rating hasn't been approved yet. The people in this office are the WORST. I've been in there a total of THREE times in the past 3 months and TWO out of the 3 times, I was treated like complete garbage. Both of the times I had incidents, it was with the man who works the front desk. You know, the one who acts like his position at the post office equates to him being king of the island. He accused me of lying BOTH times as if that would somehow benefit me? This morning, I got accused of lying about sending a wrapped Christmas present!! He tried to tell me it was against the rules and said he didn't want my package to mess up his offices low percentage rate of lost packages..... You can't make up rules just because you want to. You're a government employee, not the government. The last time, he told me he had to charge me extra postage because of the type of TAPE I used. Last time I checked, the postage was determined by the shipping, not the tape. Being a military family, we've lived all over the country, and I can honestly say I've never been treated this way before. It isn't hard to be kind to people. Get off your high horse.

We have been in Jamestown 23 years and have enjoyed every single visit we have had to the local post office. Everyone has been cheerful and helpful, inside the post office and out on their routes. They have gone out of their way to provide information or help, and it feels wonderful to go in; very small town, pleasant atmosphere. I'm surprised by the negative reviews. We lived in other places in the country where the postal folks couldn't care less; our experience here has been more than five stars.

Terrible post office!! Lived there for 15+ years had nothing but problems. Now I have moved and still have problems getting mail forwarded. Have been calling, and NO answer! No star would be rated too high.
