Over the past year, I have visited this Staples location multiple times to complete Amazon returns, only to find a posted sign stating that Amazon returns could not be processed. While I understand that this most recent issue was attributed to a “supply shortage,” it raises concerns about why this area of the business was not better managed, especially during the holiday season, when return volume is both predictable and significantly higher. I came in not only to complete a return but also with the intention of purchasing additional items. However, due to the lack of available service in the Amazon returns area, I chose to leave and take my business elsewhere. While Amazon returns may not generate direct revenue, they are clearly a traffic driver, and repeatedly being unable to offer a service that brings customers into the store creates a poor customer experience and leaves a negative impression overall.
