- HIHector IApr 18, 20241.0Terrible service, look elsewhere. I contacted HNB to apply for a PHFA loan. My experience was horrible. I dealt with Sara Rutt who told me that I could get prequalified without having a hard credit pull. I filled out there application and later that day got alerted to a hard credit inquiry. I contact her and she never replied. I figured since my credit was already pulled I might as well go through the pre-approval process. I called back and explained Sara hadn’t followed up so if someone else could handle my application. They transferred me to Richard Simmers who asked for my tax returns and other documentations. I did not hear back from him either so I called and left a message. The next day Sara called me and told me that Richard had handed her my application and documents. There was no apology or explanation as to why she stopped replying. I got my pre-approval days later without any cost estimates. At this point I just decided to work with another lender. When it comes to something as critical as purchasing real estate, you need a lender that has their act together. The people at HNB are irresponsible, unresponsive, and unprofessional. I’d stay away from them and shop around for other lenders.
