I have never seen or witnessed anybody so incompetent doing their jobs. There is a reason they have an under two star average review. Use that as guidance and do not ever step foot in this place. They will misguide you somewhere else, just to push off their problem a little bit longer so they can sit on their phone and do anything except THEIR JOB. You will leave with lots of confusion, anger and no solutions. Hopefully this helps you and please avoid this place for your own sake. Whatever you do don’t try to own a mailbox on Saylorsburg.

Recently bought a house in the Saylorsburg area and wasn’t sure which post office to use because of our location so I went here and they immediately dismissed me and told me to go to the Sciota post office. I go to Sciota and they tell me how to put in a mailbox and everything because we didn’t have a mailbox at our house. Once our paperwork was submitted it came back that we are a part of the Saylorsburg jurisdiction. After back-and-forth with Saylorsburg for a month, they kept telling me they can’t help me so it had to be escalated to Harrisburg for them to finally understand that we are a part of their jurisdiction. I then went there today and they told me they can’t service me because our mailbox is on the wrong side of the road (keep in mind my mailbox is right next to my driveway and physically cannot be put on the other side of the road because there is a hill). Not to mention the postmaster called me dumb on numerous occasions after putting in a mailbox without their approval and following the Sciota post office guidelines for putting in a mailbox. Keep in mind, I followed Sciota guidelines because I was dismissed from Saylorsburg the first time I went there. Needless to say, we decided to get a PO Box at a different post office to avoid having to deal with the people at Saylorsburg because apparently asking them to do their job is such an inconvenience. Truly never met anyone who is as incredibly rude, disrespectful and unprofessional as the people at the Saylorsburg post office.

And I’ll add, they withhold your mail if you complain. Worst County for any service in this commonwealth

This place is known as horrible by everyone who uses it. Packages from Amazon sometimes get shipped via USPS and end up here. They told me to add my po box number to my shipping address which I did and they still routinely send my packages back! On top of this the employees are rude and always act like it's a bother to help.
