- SMStephanie MountzOct 3, 20251.0In all of my years of working with the public and interacting specifically with the post office, I have never been treated so poorly as I have at this location. Upon moving to our new home 5 months ago, we were told to start our post office box at this location by their supervisor. The next time that I arrived to pick up my mail, I was told I had to change my address because they made a mistake and it was the wrong post office for my address, even though the lady who lived in my home for 40 years before we purchased the home from her. When I told the woman, that I did not think it was fair to force us to change because we had already forwarded all of our mail to this address and every official document from license’s and registrations were under this address now, she told me that between the other post office and this location they would have no problem just working it out between each other. The next time I went on I was told that I now needed to pay for a box. I was also told it was that or change the address. This has been an issue for 5 months. Every single time I go to the post office I am berated and told about this issue. The constant escalation of attitude is repulsive. We have contacted the post master without a return call. We have offered to pay for the box, despite it not being our mistake and today we’re told that this is no longer an option. We are told we must change it. After pushing back with how unfair this is to us, I left. Walking away, the postal worker was talking about us to the next customer. If you don’t have another choice but to use this location, I feel badly for you as I can’t imagine any issues that arise are handled with respect and service. If you do not have to, I would avoid this completely. Today I’m just thankful our daughter wasn’t with us because I wouldn’t want her to have had to experience the hate that was cast upon us simply for continuing to do what was asked of us.
