  Looked up shipping rate on the UPS app and went to this location. After they tried to upsell me like a car salesperson to buy one of their boxes and to have them re-pack the box themselves or else the insurance I wanted would be almost impossible to get reimbursement for if I had to file a claim, the shipping cost was over $100 more than the UPS app price. I asked why the price difference and was told “we’re the UPS store not UPS, we’re a franchise.” So basically she feels that gives her the green light to bend people over a barrel over shipping costs. You’ve been warned.

  I entered the UPS store at 5494 Perkiomen Ave. on 1/8/2026 @ approximately 10:51 a.m. There was no customers in the store and one other customer came in behind me. There was an woman with short brown sitting in a chair in th back of the store. I walked up to the counter. Still sitting the woman yelled to me, "What da ya want? I tried to explained that I was dropping of a package and needed a receipt. She replied "use the scanner!" When I tried to explain that this was a freight inspection package, the woman got out of the chair, stormed to the front of the store, and grabbed the package off the counter. The woman then said in a nasty tone, "Now I'm going to use the scanner," instead of just coming up to the counter. She scanned the barcode, slammed the package down on the counter, slid the package across the counter until it hit the ledge along the edge of the counter and dropped in the bin under the counter. The woman was rude. I have worked customer service on and off much of my life and would never treat a customer the way I was treated this morning.
