Awful experience for 10-15 years. Inconsistent service, lazy drivers, “lost” packages, and mishandling of mail that caused damage.

Excellent staff and very reliable! I mail a lot of packages for my online store, and have become very familiar with a multitude of post offices. The Port Matilda post office is easily one of the best in the area. This post office is so prompt with scanning barcodes on mail and delivering it safe and sound. I have never had any issues with them: delaying scanning of barcodes, losing mail, or damaging packages. I appreciate the time and effort they put in to ensure a job well done. The staff are also tremendous! Every time I have called this post office, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. My carrier is also excellent!

This post office will not attempt to deliver certified mail, or any 'signature required' mail if you have a mail box at the roadside/driveway. Instead they will write a 'we missed you' notice and put this in your mail box, even when you are home and your mailbox is just a few steps from the doorbell. I watched them do it. Simply too lazy to walk up to the door and ring the bell. Instead sit there for a few minutes to write a notice. And when I called this post office to request them to actually TRY to deliver it, they refused. Now I have to go to their post office 10 miles away to pick it up, although I was home at the time of delivery. Sitting in your car writing notices is not the same as delivering mail. Delivering mail is ringing the doorbell if the item needs a signature. Horrible service.
