Attention: Beware of the Oakland UPS Store
I wanted to share my experience to help others. A couple of years ago, I turned in two iPhone 14 Pro Max phones at the Oakland UPS Store for an AT&T trade-in. Unfortunately, AT&T never received them, and I never got the discount. After contacting AT&T and reviewing the tracking information, it was clear the phones never left that Oakland store. My husband and I visited the store, presented the receipt, but the staff claimed it wasn’t valid. It was not their receipt 🤔 I’m said where else could we have gotten this receipt from…smh
Fast forward two years later, I had two more phones to trade in after upgrading. This time, I used a different UPS location on the south side, and the phones arrived at AT&T within just a few days. This confirmed to me that there’s likely a pattern at the Oakland store. I’ve also seen similar complaints online, suggesting that phones frequently go missing there. They need to be investigated. I wish AT&T would choose a different shipper.
So, my advice is to be cautious: if you need to send a phone for trade-in, consider a different UPS location or explore other options. I hope this helps others avoid the same issue.

Website said Notary open until 6:30pm. Went to store - three employees and no customers. Was told that one was the notary but “he’s busy doing fingerprints today” and unable. (Guy sitting there - doing nothing - zero customers). Waste of time.

Everyone there has always been kind even if they are busy. And lord are they busy. Gosh the traffic and the fingerprinting are a lot. They're great people. I forget the tall guys name with long dyed blonde hair, but he's very helpful and nice. Last time Jazmín helped me send two packages (none of which is had fully ready or addressee right) and she was patient and helpful. I had to send 2 sets of many small pieces of paper in an envelope for a gift for my wife and out of nowhere Jazmín pulled out these awesome little bags perfect for keeping the little papers together and anyway I wouldnt have sent an organized package without that help so thank you Jazmín. Great place. Big fan. I use it regularly.

Funny, I came here to leave a review of the HORRIBLE customer service- including the staff talking crap (pretty rude mannered) about customers showing up early for fingerprinting, AS THE CUSTOMERS COULD HEAR THEM. Seems this is a consistent problem. Should probably handle your staffing a bit better.
