I came to this USPS location earlier this week to mail my save the dates for my wedding and requested that they be hand cancelled. The postal worker was on the phone with a friend during the interaction and kept saying “okay, okay, yes,” while I was explaining what I needed. When I asked about payment for hand cancelling, she told me not to worry about it. Unfortunately, I later realized that none of my envelopes were actually hand cancelled. I’m disappointed, as I took the time to come in person specifically to ensure they were handled properly, and they were not.

Not a real post office. Just a tourist / museum spot.

Not a full service post office, very much better off going somewhere else. There’s one on Arch St. If you’re a tourist I guess it’s fun to see. Other than that I wouldn’t waste time.

I live in Philly on 3rd Street. I have been to this post office 4 times and had same experience each time with the same postal worker (female with very poor attitude). Consistently treated as if she's doing me a HUGE favor and that I'm an inconvenience to her phone call, etc. Today was no exception. I walked here in the rain to post something important prior to leaving the country on Monday AM. When I opened the door, she was on a phone call and snapped at me that she was closed. It was 1PM. Hours online say open til 5PM. "The sign on the door says closed at 1PM because of the protests". It was 1:09PM (and sign on door was curled closed because it was wet and rained on). I asked if she would sell me stamps so I could mail my envelope. "I said I'm CLOSED." Extremely rude. There are plenty of unemployed people who would appreciate her job and would likely be kinder to customers. I will always find another method for mailing my items from now on. I've given this 4 tries. Am sure my absence will make her very happy.
